This collection contains the collected research of historian Grafton Cook on Maj. Gen. Bandholtz. The documents range in date from 1864-1943. However, the bulk of the documents pertain to Maj. Gen. Bandholtz's active duty with the U.S. Army and span the years 1890-1923. Included are copies of official and personal correspondence of Maj. Gen. Bandholtz. In addition, there is biographical information on the Bandholtz family, in particular, the wife of Maj. Gen. Bandholtz, May C. Bandholtz, regarding her mental illness and divorce records. Collection also includes numerous books that originally belonged to Maj. Gen. Bandholtz. These books have been cataloged and housed separately.
